Tarpon

Tarpon migrate through the Florida Keys and Florida Bay typically during the months of April through July. Though there are plenty of opportunities to catch tarpon during the other months of the year, your best chances lie in those migratory months.

Tarpon can be caught on fly or conventional gear. Whether you want to stick with artificial bait or live bait, fighting a tarpon is an extremely exciting task. The tarpon is unlike most other fish that you find inshore. When a tarpon is hooked, most will automatically take flight. Tarpon jump and rattle there heads much like sailfish.
