Redfish

The redfish truly is a fun fish to stalk on the flats. Though there are times when redfish can be fickle and spooky, they usually are a little easier to capture than bonefish. Another thing that makes fishing for redfish fun, is the fact that redfish will go in extremely shallow water. Instead of just seeing a tail sticking out of the water, there are times when you can actually see the head of the fish as well. This is one of the benefits of fishing in Islamorada. With the Everglades National Park in close proximity, it is easy to target a variety of different fish without having to travel all over the place. Redfish are a blast to catch whether on fly or on conventional tackle.
